Why go overseas as a missionary?

Many Americans seem to feel that ministry and missionaries from the USA do not need to go overseas.  They say we have much to work on in the USA.   As true as this may be we seem to forget that God has called each one of us to do a special task for Him.  If that is serving overseas...

“He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation.  Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.  And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well."” Mark 16:15-18

We should go or support those that do, and those who give up so much including their lives in some cases.  Many of us may be serving where you live right now.  Remember many that go into the "mission field" overseas give up everything to serve our Lord.  If you have even $5.00 to send a missionary every month it can accomplish great things.
